Abbeville First Supports Due West Robotics

Abbeville First Bank is happy to be able to support The Due West Robotics Club and their ongoing efforts to provide educational opportunities to the young people of Abbeville County. Recently Kristi Smith presented a donation of $1,000 to the members of the Electron Interference Team on behalf of Abbeville First and our Board of Directors.

 

Federal Government Shutdown 2018-19

The Federal Government shutdown has extended to 30 days and we at Abbeville First Bank understand the hardship this has created for many Federal employees. If you are Federal employee with a loan at AFB and you’re unable to make your payments due to furlough, contact our loan department. We will work with you to extend your payments until this political standoff is resolved.

Announcing Extended Hours in Calhoun Falls

We are happy to announce that the lobby of the Calhoun Falls Office of AFB will be open on Thursday and Friday afternoons from 3:00 – 5:00. The new hours begin on May 1, 2017. We hope that by extending the lobby hours we will be able to better serve the Calhoun Falls community.

Wilson joins Abbeville First Bank board of directors

Pat Hodge, Board Chairman of Abbeville First Bank, is pleased to announce that Jeff Wilson has joined the Board of Directors.  Jeff has spent his entire career in the telecommunications industry.  He took over as the General Manager / CEO of West Carolina Rural Telephone Cooperative in 2014.  He and his wife, Sandy, live in Abbeville.  Hodge said, “Jeff will be a tremendous asset to the Bank.  The growth he has brought to the companies he has lead is in line with the strategic plans of Abbeville First.  As the Bank moves forward Jeff will provide a fresh perspective.”  Hodge continued, “the fact that Jeff comes from a highly regulated industry will be an added plus to the Bank.” In addition to his position with West Carolina, Jeff also serves on several regional and national telecommunications boards.

Calhoun Falls Accepting SCE&G Payments

Calhoun Falls Ribbon Cutting

Calhoun Fall, SC March 22, 2016 – Abbeville First Bank held the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting for the Calhoun Falls office on Tuesday evening at 5:30. In attendance were AFB Board of Directors Pat Hodge, Dr. Mike Campbell, and Dr. Bob Todd. Abbeville First President Andy Timmerman and Calhoun Falls Mayor Johnny Waller each briefly addressed the assembled crowd before sharing the honor of cutting the ribbon. Timmerman said, “I want to thank the people of Calhoun Falls.  Already many of you have made the commitment to be part of this.  I promise the Bank is committed to you.  We all now have a vested interest in the success of Calhoun Falls.”
